Automator Showing Package Contents

i trying create automator workflow wiretap studio records lecture in class on schedule , automatically uploads file our server. can automate recording wiretap , have wiretap launch script transfer file. issue wiretap records library package. have tried can think of automator open package , access contents, watch me function stalls @ right-clicking , "show package contents." thoughts anyone?
