Mouse Rollover Events Not Working

tonight rearranged living room , in process cleaned , updated mac. after plugging mac in, rollovers in applications stopped working. when hover @ bottom of screen, dock is, not show. when hover on url, action menu, etc., mouse icon not change , menu not open. have click interact rollover event.

using mac pro(10.6.8), 2.66 intel xeon quad core, , nvida gforce gt 120 and, since mouse relevant, using naga razor.

have tried restarting , unplugging mouse , replugging in. yielded results, fixed rollovers in firefox. also, work around persists until shutdown computer- have repeat it. patrolled google others having issue , else resolved issue unplugging , replugging.

else have ideas or insight? appreciated.

how did rearranging living room relate mac? , how, exactly, did "clean , update" mac?
