Goodreader laggy scrolling, Quickoffice laggy typing... due to Retina?

hey everyone,
i'm brand new ipad ecosystem , have been disappointed far. had heck of time finding decent office suite , pdf reader. settled on quickoffice , goodreader.

problem is, both programs run ridiculously on ipad. goodreader very, choppy when scrolling around pdf files--basically unusable standards. quickoffice lags when type anything, it's pretty unusable since make tons of errors.

problem ipad? problem retina display incompatibility? or common issues these apps?
