Transferring PC to Mac

hi,

im thinking of buying first mac. need advice re: transferring data. pc laptop has 75gb of data on (which full). have 250gb of data on external hard drive (which not formatted macs).

how transfer mac understand convert external hd mac compatible require me format first , lose data.

when moved pc mac, put both computers on same network , selected files , folders pc share , found them in finder window on mac mini. transferring itunes music , video files , photos.

since i've used bootcamp set 100gb windows partition play swtor. if interested in continuing use pc programs bootcamp large enough partition on new mac's hard drive hold of windows stuff. what's point of getting mac if going though?

after that, you'd have reformat external drive mac format. did seagate 500gb goflex drive , use time machine ups.
