Moving to a larger drive

i'm going upgrade wife's white mb original 120 500. have drive , 500 mb usb carrier it.

i'm trying figure out easiest way move things on new drive can swap out.

know can use superduper , such, there easier solutions in era of lion should consider?

clone internal drive external, using carbon copy cloner. swap drives , boot new internal drive.
