Is my "genuine" smart cover a fake?

got off ebay reputable dealer, there 3 things i've noticed.

1. packaging seems different normal one, both , uk models.

2. hinges (at either side) dont seem move freely. i'm not sure if supposed loose or not. middle bar moves smoothly though.

3. smells. why close though. gives off strong mixture of leather , sort of chemical smell, similar you'd find @ dentist.

actual quality of smart cover good. no frayed edges.

i've taken picture of embossed writing on inner side. again not sure if supposed that, seems overly bold me.

testing new ipad sleep/wake function way tell? because sort of fake not work @ new ipad magnet wise.

help.

1. no expert on intricate details, looks 3 i've opened before.

2. unsure, manufacturing tolerance variance? it'll loosen in time.

3. chemical smell will, it's bicast leather. heavily processed. normal. it'll fade , smell more neutral, maybe leather in few weeks.

print looks correct me.

it's simple magnets, sleep wake function not test.
