iMac email and company forced password for email


i tried searching around this, searches not returning question/answer looking for.

our company uses exchange 2007 , changing default security policy in activesync require password. if has smartphone, tablet, etc company email configured on via activesync, policy force user set device password.

have 1 user has company email configured on imac @ home. know happen when security policy changed - if anything? i'm guessing doesn't use activesync, since don't see device anywhere him (i can see iphone, ipad, etc, not imac).

confirming....and wondering how secure device....
