Getting pics off of a dvd - good ripper?

hi
have dvd has slideshow of daughter's hockey team. need pics off can redo slideshow - i've tried couple of different rippers - handbreak , wondershare - both work quality of pics poor. there out there decent job?

or know way add music project in idvd? - have saved there don't have pics anymore iphoto.

 

you can't add music idvd project. have add before gets idvd.
