before icloud had iphone , ipad backups saved on imac's harddrive in itunes, apps i've downloaded , forth. icloud backups in cloud , not needed take space on hard drive.
checked map apps , on 35 gb. imac , 1tb hard drive never issue, i'm thinking selling , keep on air 128 gb of space be. since apple id linked app store, can re-download apps i've bought , deleted, need have them saved on hard drive or delete huge map? purpose map have apple knowing apps bought , me being able re-download them?
you can re-download apps long still on app store, , device has up-to-date version of ios (may issue when device older). might want keep copy of precious apps.
keep apps have on device. did sync phone , deleted apps phone had deleted mac. did warning, misread it. better safe sorry.
