Push notification behavior-news apps?

hi all,
got newest ipad , had question else's experiences push notifications on apps cnbc, cnn, etc , if experience same else (just want verify don't have messed up).

example, have cnbc app provides "breaking news" notifications pop in notification window on new ipad. if click on story, expect open app , take me specific story. on ipad, opens app generic intro page. on ipod touch, when exact same alert, if click notification, open app , take me directly breaking news story.

else have same behavior (would particularly interested hearing folks have cnbc app)?
