Wifi disconnected despite full bar

i have been having problem since use lion.

wifi full bar, @ least shows. have great connection speed of time. however, while surfing internet or in midst of downloading something, seems disconnected despite full wifi signal. thought router or isp problem, check ipad2 using same wifi network, ipad2 able connect internet imac can't. turn off imac wifi , turn on again , works again.

here frustrating part, can't turning imac wifi on/off time make surf net, can't if in midst of downloading something, have re-download again , waste of time.

please tell me went wrong. thanks.

 

try this:

1) open system preferences->network pane.

2) use in network pane, @ top of pane, 'location'. use pull down 'edit' , in drop down click on + symbol , make custom name (in 1 word calling whatever want) , save new location name.

3. use new 'location rejoin wireless network. click on 'apply' button save everything. don't worry new name act same way automatic.

should fix os x wireless problems. if still having problem test laptopn on network see if mac or cheap wireless router.
