hi,
thrashed setup, , had go scratch. i.e. first attempted restore time capsule, didn't work (the mp sat there afterwards spinning circle.)
tried earlier tc, no end in sight, blew hd away, restored again tc. didn't work (again), installed lion on top of had, , after osx , running again. 10-7, installed updates etc., , looks fine.
however, there way health check of osx? repaired disk permissions, there should do?

unless you're having specific problems, there's nothing need do. repairing disk permissions appropriate in specific situations , isn't "cure all" general problems.
