if use 3g unrestrictor , tether @ same time carrier know tethering? dont want hit overage charge or lose unlimited data

its risk.
at&t have been detecting customers unofficially tethering different hacks used including mywi, tetherme , many others.
didnt hear other carriers use @ own risk.
if abuse it, notice.
