hey guys, wondering if of guys play runescape these days. i've noticed seems 1 of hated mmos, largely because of people's 8 year-old perceptions of game. i've been playing on , off 10 years now, , surprised @ how little recognition gets in gaming community. people still believe it's boring grindfest, when it's 1 of best mmos on market.
attribute people's past experiences of playing kid in library, chopping trees hours on end. several factors 11 years of development time consistent, significant weekly or bi-weekly content updates, it's large amount of non combat oriented content (tradeskills more fleshed out in mmos, treated less important parts of games), fact predates wow several years means doesn't fall prey cloning devices wow employs (although has adopted many modern mmo devices), , quests actual quests, involving great intrigue, story, puzzles , bosses.
now's better time ever start playing too, fall introduced ton of great additions reduce huge amounts of tedium game, toolbelt hold basic tools, money pouch (gold until point treated item, eating inventory space, , being cumbersome if forgot bring little cash), mousewheel controlled camera controls, , keyboard controls advance chat. introducing excellent starting area new players (unfortunately it's p2p area), while feels starting zone in other mmos, provides framework teach how play game, , pointing in important directions continued success new player. eliminated vast majority of bots ruining economy october, , have continued crusade against them, , have pretty successful.
i'll admit, free play offers little content, it's great intro game. if play f2p few hours , see, it's worth coughing 8 bucks month of membership see if game or not. p2p offers more, f2p frankly waste of time past first few days of playing.
come @ me haterz!
to honest... still play! playername: akuskauk
