bought 2010 mba u.k. , authorized service provider in europe on business. asking 30 pounds (in euros) "service" or inspection fee noting extensive damage motherboard , i/o standard service fee apple on non warranty (3 years applecare) damage coverage. 'd never heard of service charge such said it's in fine print...
noted potential damage ssd when asked them take ssd out , test decide if should pay repair refused , said couldn't (nor test display wasn't expecting this). thinking of taking service in uk, @ stage thinking of paying monies , getting air , testing ssd external adapter myself because wouldn't hold beyond them intentionally damage air cover behinds...

peace. blow.
p.s. keep airs clear of drinking water, consider clearguard, turn them off upon contact, use rice then. had learn these hard way 'd forewarn other users might have babies damaged.
in service agreement sign tech there lists "diagnostic" fee. if take apple store, make initial fee. difference apple doesn't charge it, , authorized repair locations do.
