i'm going state right off bat seems iphone 4s's battery must kind of dud. i've had more month now, , has continually been huge disappointment despite me pouring on hundreds of articles find "solutions", , turning off every imaginable option, reducing brightness, changing email accounts , push, nothing avail.
last night, turned on airplane mode , when woke 7 hours later had gone 100% 85%. 15% without sending/receiving functions?? on earth going on?
insight:
wifi: on (wouldn't have mattered, airplane mode)
3g: off
loc. services: absolutely off
siri: off
gmail: no exchange; set manual
icloud: off
facetime: off
brightness: 50%, 1 min (wasn't factor given no waking notifications)
- have become paranoid closing applications after use well.
- enabled restrictions, block lot of excess apps , functions
- have tried reseting (not backup).
- have 'calibrated' battery many times.
can see, running barebones phone here, , feel 1 catering stupid device rather other way around.
ridiculous battery sapping coming from? whole reason tried airplane test because sure must receiving functions -- i'm convinced phone must dud, none of friends 4s have same problem (somedays have charge twice day, , use phone lightly -- 2-3 e-mails per day, twitter , facebook, , 30 min of safari; no games, or intensive apps whatsoever).
prefer advice or before resorting other measures, i'm no longer optimistic @ point. moreover, have since relocated canada italy , don't think have option exchanged new 1 @ apple store here given italy typically has uniquely frustrating laws regarding returning , exchanging things.
