Mouse sensitivity randomly changes

sometimes, without changing settings in mouse settings, mouse more or less sensitive--all of sudden, moving mouse moves cursor lot faster did before. have no idea why it's happening or how make stop. doesn't happen often. maybe once week or so. it's noticeable when switch user accounts, other times, changes sensitivity without making changes system @ all.

if matters, mouse wired logitech mx518 plugged apple keyboard.
