Mirror Display problem

hi using mbp connect sony bravia led kdl ex520 using hdmi cable through minidisplay port. on extend desktop can use entire screen on tv. however, on mirror display display on tv not cover entire tv screen i.e. there blank space on right , left of display. please help.

mbp mid 2010
os x lion 10.7.2
graphics nvidia geforce gt 330m 256 mb
tv sony bravia kdl ex520

 

sounds me though screens different physical dimensions. tv wider tall, , mbp's screen more square.

don't think there way change this. try playing resolutions, if make sure note current resolution can go started. aware mess icon placement.
