Laggy Graphics

i installed autodesk smoke mac os x on mbp , gave me lot of problems (such not starting , not , caused force shut down froze including mouse). anyhow, decided isn't worth wasting time on software ran uninstaller came , took entire folder , moved trash can.

problem though have deleted thing completely, seeing laggy graphics on machine. example, when doing mission control or app expose, first seeing background , after second app windows. since never issue before smoke, sure has it.

question this: how fix it? have done full shut down , restart yet haven't had luck it. also, have noticed fans @ ~1.5x speed used running nothing , cpu temp hovering around 170ºf (before fans used around 2k rpm , cpu around 98ºf same workflow running).

have @ activity monitor (applications / utilities /) , select all processes , sort cpu see culprit may be.
check "system memory" tab see "page ins:", "page outs:" , "swap used:" are.
