so year , half or owning iphone 4, power button has stopped working. understand not unheard of problem. attempt take apple, i'm past warranty stage. did not drop phone , has no signs of abuse, habit push phone off every time after use before putting in pocket.
anyway, haven't made apple store yet. far not having power button hasn't been problem. in past, powering down necessary feature nights didn't make home charger. i'm settled down , don't have types of nights anymore. if have long flight, can put phone in airplane mode , conserve battery @ least isn't searching signal.
can think of issues might have without having power button? plan hold on phone until iphone 5. eligible in month new phone, iphone 4s $200. people think need sort of reset , not able without power button? if apple won't fix free, might try hang on next 7 or months iphone 5. if i'm tempting fate, maybe should replace it. not have land line @ home , phone used work email, "mission critical" , prudent me not take chances.
the 2 major things can think of are:
1) no screenshots
and
2) can't hard-reset phone if locks up
dunno how important are. conceivably end frozen phone day , you'll have wait 30 hours battery die. problem it's not happen. it's happened me 4 or 5 time in 4 years. not much, happens.
dunno. depends on how critical phone you.
