iPhone using data while playing music?

hello!

i've tried searching issue, haven't come across thread helped. while playing music ipod app seem have data "spinner" going. now, i'm on wifi haven't noticed weird data spikes. battery while listening music drops constantly, maybe culprit? have tried hard reset, restore, , don't use match or ping. else have this? maybe i'm being paranoid. thanks!

 

definitely not normal, have tried genius bar?
