Water Damaged Iphone 4, any way of retrieving data?

hey,
iphone 4 fell toilet , after exhausting usual methods (putting rice dry etc.), haven't been able make function.
did turn on after few days of drying turned off within half hour.

since when trying fix friend damaged connection battery clicks (he trying see replacing battery work). there 4 pins clicks , 1 of them gone, unfortunate....so don't think there's hope of reviving phone anymore (unless ye know try or part etc.)

i'm asking is, there way me retrieve data on phone? stored on chip take out , connect else etc.? or method of getting pictures , videos back? didn't have things on cloud when happened (few months back) , there's alot of holiday photos , videos i'd hate lose. when phone did turn on half hour before died working fine , pictures etc there.

if can offer appreciated.

most of phone data in itunes backup everytime sync phone.
