iOS 5 connects without user action to attwifi when in range

today standing within wifi range of at&t store, took phone check , doing doing woke up. proceeds connect automatically prompt or warning at&t store's wifi.

have since reproduced this: ios 5 automatically connect router broadcasting attwifi ssid.

wtf?

man in middle, packets-sniffing etc. come-on apple!

filed bug report.

googled it. problem known had never heard of until experienced today , researched it.

ios 5 send email accounts passwords in clear?

 

don't it? toggle, off.

otherwise, convenient rest of us.

starbucks, fedex stores , others. super slick around town.
