have new 2011 mac mini have been upgrading etc make super htpc.
anyway want rip entire blu ray library plex becomes media centre.
once i've done this, assuming have proper ups of data on several drives there reason shouldn't sell physical blu ray discs? - have 50 odd blue rays selling these allow me purchase larger lacie drives example in store data , keep backup.
thinking of having lacie tower. 2 x 2gb hds. 1 media , 1 time machine backups. wouldn't matter size drive had in mini wouldn't need store information on it. allow me buy 64gb ssd , use boot drive. super speedy mac mini loaded media able stream around house large sufficient up.
crazy or sound idea?
it's not crazy idea. keep movies after ripping them, loaning friends , family, if need money, sell 'em!
