simlocked iPhone 3gs firmware 5.1 BB 06.15.00, unlock and jailbreak

i bought friends' old iphone 3gs, unfortunately not have sim-card can me passed activation screen need fill in country etc. iphone 3gs firmware 5.1 , baseband 06.15.00. tried jailbraking redsnow, failed. can tell me steps take jailbreak , unlock iphone. grateful!
