Need some advice

i planning on buying new ipad. leaving vacation on 15th trying 1 in florida. if preorder today, on 21st according apple representative. think chances of being able pick 1 @ retail store are? or better off having shipped house renting down there? i'm apprehensive because if comes or late wont there.

 

if comes via fedex , tracking number notification, can call fedex , have them hold , deliver on future date.
