Will I have to re buy my apps?

currently use ipod touch daily , have approx 200 apps.
thinking of buying new ipad. have pay full price upgrade apps hd version, or pay upgrade price.

going forward if want app on both devices have buy twice, or if buy ipad, sync ipod?

depends on app. universal (so "hd" on ipad without having buy app). there apps aren't universal (a lot actually), have purchase second time hd. in itunes, under "app" header, can see ones which, in ipad app store, show "iphone" apps , "ipad" apps.

if buy ipad specific app, not sync ipod. if it, however, universal app, will. also, if you're cool being "bloated", can run ipod apps fullscreen on ipad. won't great though, if app supports iphone retina display, pretty good.

recommendation apps use absolute on ipad in hd (provided aren't universal already), , fullscreen rest of ipod ones.
