Question about selling an iPad (or any iOS device)

well, i'm planning on selling ipad (first generation) at&t 3g after ipad3 when comes out , have few questions regarding how go it.

i'm planning on selling $50-$100 (its in perfect condition, , i'm selling 2 cases , charger of course).

but, price isn't issue.

wondering best way of information off of device is. if restore , cancel at&t data plan of data plan information , apps/music erased person sell can't access them?

also, if restore on ipad, still able restore backup new ipad3 when first connect mac can of app information, game center, music, etc on new device?

i'm planning on switching verizon lte also, cancelling at&t data plan.

i can't advise on at&t side sold iphone 4 yesterday. prior sale, erased content , data using iphone's built in option.

deleted browsing history , checked nothing left over...it fine. new owner tried phone sim, , enough o let me double check.

same process holds true ipad, said, i'm not sure happens at&t sim...others here know...my ipads have been wifi only.
