iMac SSD Question

hey guys

thinking of upgrading imac ssd, wanted know if can keep internal regular drive , run os , apps of ssd?

dont know imacs internals wanted make sure hold 2 drives , didnt require sort of apple authorised connections rather sata.

simple buying ssd , plugging in installing os formatting existing drive , leaving media storage?

 

depends on exact imac model:

identify mac , mac os x version, visualised in more elaborate image
identify mac , mac os x version using 25 second video tutorial (3mb, .mp4, h.264)​

replace hdd ssd in 2007 aluminium imac, there space 1 drive, couldn't use hdd internally.

2011 imacs have spare space ssd:
