10.7.3, MBA display problem

installed combo 10.7.3 updater yesterday on mba 11"

appears display profile has lower maximum brightness using f keys (panel 9cf3)
estimate in 5-10% range, quite noticable, esp when photo editing.

10.7.2 me had big gap between highest setting , 1 step down, last step more subtle.

else has issue?
