Is it not possible to transfer music from an iPod Touch to a computer?

hey guys... can't seem find way transfer music friend's ipod touch (or idevice matter) itunes on mac. have feeling apple "thing" not able transfer music idevice computer. correct?

 

are connected else's itunes account?
