Transcode 200+ movies for iTunes or...

know has been asked many times, since i've read through several threads. purpose asking not how, if.

have 450 movies ripped dvds , blurays, many of ripped using mkv container & ac3 pass through. of them half (the latter half) in m4v format. made using handbrake. question.

spend time needed transcode of itunes incompatibles or find other work around watching movies atv3?

worth noting: have 8 mac pro @ work gets used 10% of time setup batch on.
also, have never owned atv , haven't ever jb one, did run plex mac mini period of time.

if made of .mkvs handbrake (it sounds did, since mentioned have ac3 pass thru tracks), there might chance video streams in right format (h.264). check, can download subler , open .mkv that. if video h.264 stream, should able remux video , audio .m4v container, doesn't take long per file, no transcoding/encoding required.

if i'm mistaken video stream, nevermind haha. i'd wait jailbreak if possible, or set batch encoding session convert files sake of wider compatibility devices.
