a client of mine sent me developed application's source code submit appstore. have xcode , everything, i'm getting following error when attempt archive:
code sign error: identity 'iphone distribution' doesn't match valid certificate/private key pair in default keychain
firstly, isn't iphone app, , secondly, i've been reading developer documentation quite literally confusing instruction i've ever had follow. don't quite understand how certificate creation works, , there 2 types of certificates have option obtain, development one, , distribution one. need both submit app? one? biggest questions amongst others.
i'd appreciate direction possible.
hmpf.
"iphone developer", won't change ipad, don't worry that.
thing is, need developer account, develop on device etc, , distribution profile distribute.. ad-hoc sharing, or app store building.
thing is, need distribution profile, correctly matched certificate, sending distribution profile won't cut it, since it's matched private certificate in keychain.
need archive it, , can build .ipa appstore, steps quite logic, if follow guide in xcode itself.
if go app in xcode, set it's path ios device/or whatever device have attached, press product @ top, archive, , when it's done, press share button. build app store, etc.
hope helped little.
