hello, don't know if has been covered in detail in thread, couldn't find got level of detail need. contemplating buying imac 27" replace 1 of win 7 desktop pcs. run pc games on remaining win 7 pc, 1 game want able run on imac quake 3 arena, , of mods (3wave, cpma). possible run q3a in lion? if so, can familiar process tell me, in detail, how install , make run on lion? fine buying q3a mac on ebay if need be, don't want if there's no chance run.

my immediate recommendation quakelive. it’s compatible lion, , has big community of players, , free, it’s walled garden , not support mods. option number 2 dual boot windows bootcamp. requires buying copy of windows (win 7 home premium oem $99 best deal) , partitioning hard drive. don’t know of anyway play original quake 3 natively in os x lion though.
