please help an idiot

so have tried undertake on own, isn't going well. i've read can find , still having no luck.

i'm on iphone 4 (4.3.5 / firmware 04.10.01) using gevey sim card thing. anyway, trying update ios 5 without luck. first tried downloading 5.0.1 straight itunes (10.6) when tried open ipsw redsnow (tried both 0.9.9.b5 , 0.9.9.b8) said wasn't supported. downloaded ios 5, worked when opened redsnow create broadband thing or whatever, after put in "pwned dfu" mode , tried restore via itunes (using nobb_ file redsnow created) said along lines of apple can't verify...? or something?

know nothing computers , frankly i'm surprised got far. trying independent. can point me in right direction?

you must have 5.0.1 hash , apticket file saved restore 5.0.1
without those, cannot 5.0.1
