Mini not staying asleep when second monitor is connected


got second monitor dad's mini. primary connected hdmi dvi adapter [came mini], , secondary connected minidisplay port dvi cable.

when put sleep, comes on again within few seconds message saying 'dvi input'. happens if power second monitor switched off, not happen when cable physically removed thunderbolt port.

anu suggestions?
 

switch off monitors before putting mini sleep. had more or less same problem. 1 of monitors has built-in usb hub. whenever mini went sleep , disabled video, monitor power down sleep-mode well. when happened mini saw removal of usb keyboard, , power again.
