Looking to buy first Mac. Need some advice please.

currently using iphone 4s.

need computer , usage predominately email, internet, twitter.

have 1 project want involves light photo/video editing. it's hobby-esque. i'm gonna run pictures in slideshow, attach video @ end music running in background.

i'm beginner @ editing , editing do, lead others well. cannot give definite answer here.

design of macbook air lot, ideal.

i'm looking buy 1 computer , hoping 5 years out of long term purchase.

speed issue, want fly. don't have ton of music or photos seems of stock hard drives more enough.

been looking @ imac, macbook pro , air , not know computer more ideal.

if give opinions appreciate it. hear owners of actual products vs sales pitch.

the imac if don't need portability. macbook pro if need power , portability. if want light , can live reduced power air. if 1 project use friends or work machine? might decide on model best you. hope helps.
