issue international lte availability stems fact at&t version of new 4g ipad released in united states supports lte on 700 mhz , 2100 mhz frequency bands. apple distributing same model international markets, lte implementations in of countries utilizing 800 mhz, 1800 mhz, , 2600 mhz bands not supported device.
apple has confirmed the verge international 4g ipad models can used on at&t's lte network in united states travelers, though not have lte support @ home. according apple:
the ipad 4g lte model sold verizon in united states exclusive carrier @ least time being, lte compatibility limited 700 mhz band in line carrier's implementation of technology.
that's why bought verizon model-supports more bands in end.
don't see why verizon 1 can't support 2100 lte also...seems easier consumers if 1 model. love able use on at&t's network if faster though. suppose can 3g if desire.
