Installing SL 2012-001 security update causes vertical bars on screen

it's documented snow leopard 2012-001 security update caused problems rosetta apps, , apple issued version 1.1 solves problem.

i've noticed different. of 5 running macs, i've noticed on 1 of them - macbookpro4,1.

when installed second update 1.1, on booting up, screen perfect, when entered in password , clicked, there 12 vertical bars appeared @ bottom of screen. "bars", mean flared dark areas. phenomenon known in net - search macbook screen bars.

when reboot, bars not there @ all.

interestingly, applied 1.1 update second time. , once again, bars appeared on reboot, on second reboot bars disappeared

phenomena repeatable.

believe bars relate lighting of lcd, , not bar-images on screen.

wonder how 1.1. causes bars in first place, , how come bars disappear upon rebooting.
