How can I transfer edited epubs from iPad to Mac Mini?

hope i'm posting @ right place.

put business related secondary books in epub format on ipad. read them in ibooks during travels , lot of highlighting/underlining later usage.

problem is; after i'm done work on books, need highlighted paragraphs or sentences in relevant word files on mac.

there way of transferring marked epubs ipad mac mini?
can't via itunes folder because settings manual handling of media files, therefore not stored in itunes folder in mac.

i've done research on net, couldn't come firm solution.

can give me suggestion please?

it's possible edits not done directly epub , stored in secondary file causing added difficulty.
