Has anyone tried puppy linux here before?

i have 2008 mb hdd dead. if want use second computer without trying video watching, instead browsing net, use usb stick puppy linux installed that?

i'd recommend buying new hdd/ssd. running os usb key tends slow, if 2008 computer doesn't have lot of ram.
