File transferring methods

hi all, got first apple product in awhile , wondering options transfer files pc ipad.

know can use itunes, there other ways of transferring large files usb (e.g. no dropbox/icloud/etc.)? read program called goodreaderusb.

know if jailbreak (whenever be) can use ifile can transfer wirelessly cool.
