first post here on forum, wonderful resource. hopefully, somehow can find way contribute wealth of knowledge here.
past year i've been working photos , videos stored on external hard drive (1tb). have 2 additional 1tb drives use time machine backups of (1) macbook , (2) 1tb external drive. every month rotate 2 time machine drives, storing 1 @ office. situation has seemed work me have problem i've filled 1tb storage allowance.
do?
#1 concern losing photos on external drive, cannot let happen.
thinking copy external 1tb 1tb using carbon copy cloner , keep 1 @ home , 1 @ office , should take care of 1tb have.
going forward have many choices, i'm thinking of buying 2 (2tb) external hard drives act rotating time machines 1 @ home , 1 @ office , starting new archive third 1tb drive have. problem (1) drive usb 2.0 , (2) wont match apperance of new 2tb drive on desk lame.
experts, do?
appreciated.
just let thing. overwrite oldest data newest saves.
