Colour Shift when copying from web

long time professional mac user , has bugged me.

why there shift in color when copying image web application within osx, mail, photoshop, pages.

colour lighter , more washed out once pasted.

 

depending on browser (or application) use, handling of color can drastically different.
safari tends make more saturated , punchy (it's not simple, point) looks @ images icc profile gamma info, not every browser does. reason pngs odd compared css on websites.
firefox has add-on lets apply .icc profile browser make render photos/graphics profile select, safari has no such add on knowledge.

color management crazy world still have hard time understanding, though i'm pro photographer.
