Charging Port

so i've been having trouble plugging in charger on new ipad. ipad 1 plugged in (like iphone 4s , ipod classic) i'm noticing curve near charging port it's little harder plug in sometimes.

wondering how solid because gate create problem (over time) plugging in , out.

 

im looking charging port , realizing little prongs stick off each side (of charger) have scratched (very small) inner walls charging port.

normal?

realized new chargers plug in more charger got couple years ago.
