What's the real purpose of "in app" purchases?

hate in app purchases. don't understand them, confusing ones can re install free , ones can't reinstalled free.

reason concern restore both ipad , iphone quite often, tinker it. don't jailbreak anymore. don't feel need. isn't me trying pirate illegal apps. purchase apps.

21 month old loves kiddie games many of them require in app purchases , it's annoying. i'd rather pay 99 cents-$10 app , done it. i've tried contacting of app developers games , standard apple.com answer without direct answer actual app.

why both in app? never has made sense me since apple still takes 30% cut of in app revenue generated.

not want pay in app purchase , restore ios devices , have repay them again.

 

why? because people download game thinking free , suckered paying money. give game away free , hope end paying money additional items/content.

also, believe changes in-app purchase prices cannot tracked sales. why games make buy full version in-app purchase. tricks appshopper , like.
