VM Ware Crashed with error "Cannot configure virtual machine"

after 22 hours of trying move dell xp pro's windows installation vm fusion (4.1.1) virtual machine (via migrate option), migration process crashed @ 96% error:

"cannot configure virtual machine", or words effect.

link shown "help" on windows machine vm migration client takes vm ware kb page error isn't listed.

since dell oem version of windows, issue?

seem recall warning vm fusion might have problems oem versions. however, had created vm fusion install old toshiba laptop, assume had oem version of windows xp.

forward suggestions....want drop kick dell asap!

have tried several times different versions of vm fusion, cannot migrate machine!
