Thunderbolt + TB peripheral + HDMI display?

i'm getting ready upgrade 2008 mbp , display. i'm looking @ getting 27" led hdtv share between laptop , game console. don't want 2 displays (or have space two).

if use tb->hdmi adapter, have lost tb port use peripherals?

can put tb->hdmi adapter @ end of chain of tb peripherals , still video signal out tv?

 

yes, thunderbolt hdmi adaptor work @ end of chain. until 1 comes out thunderbolt pass-through, that's gonna best option.
