MBP will be first mac to get a retina display

mba - unlikely. current ipad retina display consumes 7w/h. mba line, known portability, not add bigger battery accommodate this.

imac - impossible. 4k displays still on $10k.

mbp - apple can announce death of optical drive , use space battery, keeping thin form factor. retina display make mbp "pro" machine again , pull farther away mba.

want ultraportability, buy mba. want retina display , better gpu, buy mbp.

release 2013.
