MacBook Pro won't let me install new software?


hello all,
have macbook pro running osx 10.6.8. trying install new game purchased. when insert disk, nothing happens automatically. when go finder window , click on "install" part of game disk, dialog box says "this installer requires admin privileges run" , gives me 1 button click on, says "quit". admin mac, logged in admin, , no 1 else uses computer. i've tried using disk utility repair permissions, , still not allow me install game. getting annoying trying convince computer it's ok install! :mad: can enlighten me i'm doing wrong or how fix problem? i'm starting feel dummy trying troubleshoot this. :confused:
